Colorado State University is promoting 17 different departments as
resource centers for students and staff who have been ill-affected by
an on-campus free speech event. Last week, the Turning Point USA
Rockies Territory Instagram account posted a picture of a sign, which
reads: "If you (or someone you know) are affected by a free speech
event on campus, here are some resources."

Resources include the Office of Equal Opportunity, Multicultural
Counseling, Incidents of Bias Reporting, Dean of Students, Vice
President of Inclusive Excellence, a Victim's Assistance Hotline.

The TPUSA group accused the university of "intolerance," posting, "And
we haven't even had an event yet gotta love the intolerance of
@coloradostateuniversity."

A CSU spokesperson told Fox News the university is committed to Free
Speech "as both a legal protection and a foundation of the robust
debate that is core to higher education," adding, "We also recognize
the power of speech to impact people deeply, and we are committed to
supporting all of our students."

CSU said it didn't create the services and sign to address any specific
event.

It's not hard to predict which principle will be the priority if a
student comes whining to one of the 17 departments that are resource
centers for such students. I just don't imagine any of those departments
will say "Suck it up, buttercup, the meanies have the right to free
speech so you have to accept that." It's FAR more likely that they'll
prioritize "supporting the student", which will translate to take the
student's side and fight to suppress the speech of the person that has
offended the student. After all, that's what the people at these
resource centers are PAID to do!
